What is it like to stay at Nima Local House Hotel in Roma Norte?
With only four elegant rooms, staying at Nima feels less like booking a hotel and more like moving into the private townhouse of an art-collecting chilango friend. The restored turn-of-the-century mansion on Calle Colima offers an incredibly intimate escape. You get a sun-drenched central courtyard, exceptionally personalized service, and a quiet residential feel right in the heart of Roma Norte’s busiest dining corridor. It is peaceful, beautifully styled with local textiles, and feels entirely detached from the street level.
What locals actually do
While visitors love Nima for its leafy terrace and quiet breakfast room, locals know Calle Colima as the neighborhood’s design spine. Staying here puts you steps from flagship boutiques, galleries, and excellent coffee. Chilangos usually grab an espresso at nearby Buna or a pastry at Panadería Rosetta, then walk past Nima’s handsome facade on their daily route. We don't hang out in hotel lobbies here; instead, we treat the surrounding block of Colima—between Orizaba and Tonala—as our outdoor living room. It's the ultimate neighborhood base if you want to skip the corporate feel of Reforma hotels.
Book the Master Suite to get the private balcony overlooking Calle Colima, then spend your afternoon walking to nearby Galería OMR before dinner.
