About

A verified reference for eating in Mexico City.

DiscoverCDMX exists because the best answer to "where should I eat tonight in CDMX?" was buried under 400 SEO listicles and three years of stale reviews. We publish direct, verified answers written by people who actually eat here.

Chef Elvin Park
Editorial standards

Written by named people, verified on a schedule.

Chef Elvin Park leads editorial. Formerly ten years in a two-Michelin New York kitchen, ten more in Mexico City. He signs off on every fine-dining answer personally.

The bench — Keylin (mezcal & bars), Kevin (street food, Centro), Danny and Carmen (Roma / Condesa) — writes and re-verifies category answers on a rotating schedule. Every answer page carries a "Last verified" date. If it's older than six months, we pull it.

How DiscoverCDMX works

Plainly: restaurants can pay for data accuracy. They cannot pay for editorial coverage.

DiscoverCDMX has two revenue lines. The first is Verified Listing — restaurants pay a quarterly fee for a schema-marked entity page, a cross-platform fact audit, and citation reporting. This is a technical accuracy service. It does not include editorial coverage of any kind.

The second is Featured / Spotlight, where a restaurant is included in a guide, named in an Ask answer, or featured in the newsletter. Featured placement is decided by our editorial team on merit. A restaurant does not receive editorial coverage because it paid; it receives editorial coverage because our editors independently think it belongs in the answer to a real question a real diner is asking.

Every entity page discloses whether the restaurant is a verification client. If a restaurant on an answer page is also a client, that's disclosed on the entity page and does not change what the answer says.

We do not accept per-mention payments, "sponsored" guides, or affiliate cuts tied to specific recommendations. We do use tracked reservation links so restaurants can measure DiscoverCDMX-referred click-throughs.

Freshness

Every answer and entity page carries a 'Last verified' date. Older than 6 months = pulled from the index.

Attribution

Every editorial note is signed. If our team disagrees with a common recommendation, we say so directly.
